Welcome back to another edition of Fund it Friday. Today, we are examining Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game, for the fine folks at Fallen Dominion Studios.
Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game casts players as the leaders of different wasteland factions, each vying not only for survival, but to thrive upon the remnants of a shattered U.S., eliminating competition and furthering their faction agenda. Along the way, you will equip your followers, explore and exploit the wastes, and build up your own community of hardened survivors. Featuring a strategy base with cards, narrative stories, and RPG elements, Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game seeks to let you become your own Humungus, Aunty Entity, or Immortan Joe as you carve a kingdom from the nuclear fallout.
Your gangs will scour and scrounge the land, playing through encounters and securing resources to help your budding post apocalypse principalities grow. Alliances can be forged and broken, and the stories of your exploits will be different each game.
The folks at Fallen Dominion Studios are looking to secure $30k in funding, and as of this writing have just crossed over the halfway mark. A pledge of $63 will net you a copy of the game, which may seem high until you consider the sheer amount of stuff included in the box. At $81, you’ll also net a copy of the planned expansion. Stretch goals include numerous upgrades to the quality of the board and included pieces, citing fabric lined boxes and boards as a highlight.
I’ll be honest, this fits nicely in my wheelhouse. I am a sucker for post apocalypse libertarian paradise settings, and the fact that there could be some great kingdom building and storytelling makes this an easy back for me. Interested? I bet so. Stop by the team’s Kickstarter page and drops some caps on them to show your support.
