Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
What is the Digital Drive In Podcast? Typically you would see Alex taking a dive into the world of foreign films or Garrett searching the dark web for more obscure bad movies. Many of you may know of us from the Treehouse or Basement podcasts, but those films are typically blind watches and a mixed bag of quality. Much of our audience want to also hear us talk about great films that we really love. The Digital Drive-In is our place to discuss the films that mean something to us personally, and represent some of our favorite films and filmmakers. These are the films that have stayed with us over the years. So sit back, relax, and join Alex and Garrett as they bring us a very special kind of movie podcast – the Digital Drive-In.
The year is 3018, digital archaeologists looking for long-forgotten memes run across an audio file of two guys talking about their love of film. Alex and Garrett’s thoughts are finally worth something. For the inaugural episode, the guys whipped out a film both rate among their favorites of all time. It was a simpler time, when George Lucas having his name on a film meant something good. Thankfully we have top men working on this podcast. They meet up at Omar’s but Alex finds a pet monkey and is distracted. Garrett complains that bad films shouldn’t happen because he’s an American. Will they finally figure out why the floor moves?
