Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! Films from the Basement has returned from its long hiatus. Garrett escaped and was released unto the world. He is now once again properly quarantined downstairs, deep beneath the TNM offices. For the reincarnation of this podcast, we take a quick look at the indie comedy Brigsby Bear.
Now past fans may wonder why we didn’t pick an unknown and/or terrible film like we have in the past. After getting some fresh sun and air, Garrett decided to open up his horizons. He ventured out into the world and got some more culture… Not wholly unlike James from the film. So now that he is back in the basement we let him watch some slightly more popular films that may have had a theatrical release. We still keep him away from those mainstream studios though, he still salty that the only one he tried while out was The Emoji Movie.
Some come join us while we chat about Brigsby Bear. We also do get into the special features a bit. So if you are like us, be sure to pick up the Blu-ray from Amazon or other stores that have movies.
Also a big basement shout-out to Eric Hutchinson for giving us permission to use a clip of his song “The Basement” as our intro. Be sure to check out his site erichutchinson.com and his various social media hot-spots for all his news and music.
