Hot Fuzz (2007):
There was me, that is Alex, and my two podcasters, that is Jesse and Garrett, and we sat in the Discord chat trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The video rental store sold Blu-ray-plus, a film plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were having. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-criticism. Thankfully we needed none of that because we watched the 2007 comedic duo classic from Edgar Wright known as part two of the Cornetto trilogy, that is to say, Hot Fuzz. It’s a throw-back to classic tropes of buddy cop/detective stories with touches of comedic genius laid over top. The way we see it it’s for the greater good.
With a recognizable ensemble cast could this be the first film on the Treehouse to get unanimous high marks from the boys? Will they ever find the swan? Does Alex mind a bit of manpower? Has Jesse ever taken a shortcut before? Has Garrett ever fired a gun in the air and yelled “Aaaaaaah”? You’ll just have to listen to find out!
Hot Fuzz is available on Blu-ray, and it is also available to stream on Netflix.
